Credit Repair via FTC
Credit Repair

What is this, Credit Repair via the FTC? What do they know? A lot!

What does the FTC know and have to say about credit repair? We trust them fully and completely so be sure to listen closely.

Seriously, you should have ears as large as an overly-famous mouse. Or even a big red dog at the edge of a cliff right now if you understand us properly.

The most trusted article on credit repair:

We found a great article the other day reading from the FTC. If you did not know that means the Federal Trade Commission. They are a consumer protection agency of the federal government. So that being our thing as well we really like and deeply respect them.

Here is a quote from their page you can visit here: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0058-credit-repair-how-help-yourself

To quote the FTC- Credit Repair How to Help Yourself Article:

“You get fliers in the mail, email messages, and maybe even calls offering credit repair services.
They all make the same claims:

“Credit problems? No problem!”

“We can remove bankruptcies, judgments, liens, and bad loans from your credit file forever!”

“We can erase your bad credit — 100% guaranteed.”

“Create a new credit identity — legally.”

Do yourself a favor and save some money, too. Don’t believe these claims: they’re very likely signs of a scam. Indeed, attorneys at the Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, say they’ve never seen a legitimate credit repair operation making those claims. The fact is there’s no quick fix for creditworthiness. You can improve your credit report legitimately, but it takes time, a conscious effort, and sticking to a personal debt repayment plan.”

As you can clearly see, this is a great read and you should check out for yourself today.

Rebuild Repair Credit’s Stance on the FTC and credit repair scams.

Here at Rebuild Repair Credit we fully trust the FTC. They are there to protect consumers and we really like that. There are many scams out there that will allege to repair your credit. Most places claiming credit repair are scammers so please beware. Make sure to do your research people.

One way to know if they are a scam is if they offer to repair your credit quickly or immediately. The process of restoring bad credit can take up to seven years in reality, so these are lies.

Anyone claiming a 100% guarantee is also lying to you. No legitimate credit repair is 100% guaranteed. This is because nobody can guarantee how you will act. Will you be more responsible? Do you care about your credit score? The choice is yours alone.

Promise of Results? Not here. But why?

No credit rebuild or repair can promise any results of you personally will perform. We do not endorse or support any scams dealing with credit. At Rebuild Repair Credit we simply respect our readers and clients too much to scam. That FTC article we quoted and linked you to? We really think you should read as soon as possible.

Here at Rebuild Repair Credit we really love how the FTC gets right down to the great information.

Credit Repair
Here is a quote we absolutely love from this article of theirs:

“You can improve your credit report legitimately, but it takes time, a conscious effort, and sticking to a personal debt repayment plan.”

This information is so true and it is almost silly how oversimplified they state it.
Let us break this great information down a bit for you please.

“You can improve your credit report legitimately.”
So, we agree this is very true. Also, it is the only way to do it right.

“But it takes time” Again, true, it could take a long time or a short time depending on how bad your credit is. The time involved depends on how much damage is done and how hard you work. But if you do nothing you are promised anything negative will stay on your credit reports.
Not for a short time, but for as long as seven to ten years!

“A conscious effort”
This may be the truest statement of them all.
Without you trying your best we can assure you, your credit repair attempt is doomed.

“Sticking to a personal debt repayment plan”
Very important as well, you must pay your debts and be responsible to have a good credit score.

We fully agree with this entire helpful article. Sorry to repeat some of their information but it is valuable.

What does the FTC say about if you need to hire a professional or not?
“No one can legally remove accurate and timely negative information from a credit report. You can ask for an investigation —at no charge to you — of information in your file that you dispute as inaccurate or incomplete. Some people hire a company to investigate for them, but anything a credit repair company can do legally, you can do for yourself at little or no cost”

Even the FTC is saying you do not need to pay for credit repair services. If you are unable, do it yourself! That’s right you have the power to repair your own credit. We and the FTC are both here to help you for sure.
Credit Repair

Completely free credit reports? Authorized by the FTC and Federal Government? Yes!

So with that being said they go on to recommend you get your free credit report every year. We completely and fully concur with their great advice about that, do it:

“Each of the nationwide credit reporting companies — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — is required to provide you with a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months, if you ask for it. To order, visit annualcreditreport.com, or call 1-877-322-8228. You may order reports from each of the three credit reporting companies at the same time, or you can stagger your requests throughout the year.”

There is some very valuable information on where and how to get your free credit reports every year. If you have not gotten them this year we recommend you take the opportunity to do that right now.

Who is the FTC? You may ask again. Here is their statement on that:

“The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is the nation’s consumer protection agency. The FTC works to prevent fraudulent, deceptive and unfair business practices in the marketplace.”

So again these people are here to help you and me. Please report any fraud, deceptive, and unfair business to them.

We are quite sure that many of you have had bad experiences that they should know about to be here. So if you have been scammed by any companies fill them in when it happens please.

Because they are very busy they may not be able to help you personally with your problem. But if the information you provide can help stop a scam you both did a great service. So be sure to report any bad companies for investigation to the FTC. We learned a lot from the FTC already and will continue to learn from their resources.
